Meet Mckenzie Bowen | Nail artist/technician

We had the good fortune of connecting with Mckenzie Bowen and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mckenzie, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I decided to pursue nails , because I have always had a deep passion for art and sculpting. I was always the kid in class doodling and you could always find me in my room painting or creating. Being able to put my passion onto a small canvas and make others feel beautiful is really an amazing gift and I am forever grateful to love what I do !

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a nail technician at pink martini nail bar in Doraville ,Ga . I really strived to find a beautiful salon in a great location with a hard working woman boss ! It took a lot of work to build up my clientele and having a steady work schedule and good social media presence really helped. It’s all about marketing and getting yourself out there. I worked hard to get where I’m at and I want people to know that hard work and dedication will put you exactly where you want to be.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
So first stop would definitely be roc south for a fabulous brunch experience. I’m all for ponce city roof top for a fun chill day & a few drinks. Atlanta really has so many different things to do – from eating at STK to getting your body sculpted at ibougie spa . I definitely suggest a trip to big Dave’s cheesesteaks while you’re in town too !!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I definitely want to shoutout to my mom and my boyfriend. They have been my biggest support system and really helped motivate me to be the best I can and work hard. Also many many many of my family & friends who have showed so much love and support through social media & booking appointments. I
