We had the good fortune of connecting with Matt Cox and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Matt, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
We work on improving social equity in the foundational issues of American society – the environment and the economy. We do that by providing insights and assistance to enable communities to drive the clean energy transition forward, leveraging our expertise in policy, data analytics, and community engagement. To date, our work has helped identify pathways to save thousands of lives by avoiding billions of tons of pollution through equitable processes.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Greenlink is very community-driven. We pride ourselves on producing advice, analysis, and technologies responsive to the needs of the organizations we are trying to serve. While this might sound obvious, it’s pretty uncommon to see it doggedly pursued constantly by a nonprofit with a nationwide impact like ours. The commitment to community-driven approaches is a distinguishing hallmark of Greenlink’s approach.
We developed this approach over a five-year period; it was neither easy nor obvious but it is part of the special sauce that makes us work!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My best friends are nature lovers and music nerds with pretty varied preferences. We’d go on a hike on the edge of town, probably the East Palisades trail along the Chattahoochee. I’d take them to Ammazza for dinner because it’s fantastic and also has something for the vegetarian and meat-eaters alike. We’d cap the night with a show at Blind Willie’s!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Greenlink’s incredible staff!
