We had the good fortune of connecting with Markecia Dudley and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Markecia, how does your business help the community?
My business helps the community because I focus on the convenience factor for my clients. Now and especially during covid, no one wants to go out so I make it convenient for them to get the services that they’re needing and I’ll bring it right to their door. They don’t have to leave their home and that’s what they love the most.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My brand is the Traveling Nail Bar which means that I have a nail salon on wheels so that I can go to people instead of them having to come to me. I’m different because being that there are a lot of mobile nail techs, I am the only one in Georgia that has an actual bus that you can get on and enjoy your service and shows you a different side of the nail industry while getting your nails and toes done.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Of course Atlanta! So I would take my friend to a place called The Yard. They have really good milkshakes, Slutty Vegan, the malls, we would probably visit the Cirque which have really good daiquiri’s and just enjoy the vibe and wherever it takes us.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to thank God for giving me this vision so that I could make it a reality and I want to thank my husband, my friends, and my family for helping me with everything along the way. Without them it would have definitely been a struggle. I also want to thank myself for having the drive, motivation, ambition, courage, and strength to keep going.
