We had the good fortune of connecting with Marie Allen and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Marie, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
BELIEVE has always been my “word”. It’s so applicable to everything in life. No matter what you are facing you just have to believe even when your mind is making you question yourself.

Also, I’ve always said my motto is “too much is always just enough for me”! When I do things I do them BIG. I’m a perfectionist so no cutting corners. If you want to leave an impression you have to go big….stand out…don’t try to blend in! You have to make people take notice. Some people don’t like that and that’s ok. I am a lot for certain personalities. I’m loud, animated, funny, and quirky.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I left Corporate America when when I had our boys to be a stay at home mom. Now that our boys are 20 and 17 most of my time is spent networking to grow the twin’s brand.

I am pretty driven and when I have an idea I usually run with it. I think I am and have been told I am very creative.

I’m most proud of the young men our boys are becoming. I’m most excited about growing the twin’s brand awareness.

I would like to say it was through a lot of hard work mixed in with failures and successes but honestly, it was an opportunity that just fell in my lap. A lucky break.

I have learned so much about the film industry. More than I ever could have
Imagined. Just for one simple scene, they could do 10 takes. I remember one night when we were on set they worked on one particular scene for about six or seven hours.

It blows my mind to think about being at my boy’s sporting events years ago with the twins drawing attention to now them being in a major network’s docuseries. If anyone would have ever told me that I/they would be in the film industry in any capacity I’m not sure I would have believed it.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Truthfully we are just homebodies. If my best friend was visiting from out of state I would want as much time with her as possible and we would probably just hang out, talk and catch up, cook meals together and watch movies.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The success of Auburn and Georgia (the twins) would not have happened were it not for Jamie Stimach, Animal Casting Director, Universal Animals. She’s smart, she knows the business, she’s driven, she’s successful, she takes charge. She has gathered an entire database of almost any animal, reptile, insect, etc. for the entertainment industry. Movies, print, commercials, you name it she can get it!
