We had the good fortune of connecting with Maria Moss Adams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Maria, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The idea for my business actually started by happenstance. I naturally love clothing, fashion and bargain shopping. People would compliment me all the time for my outfits and I always found pride in letting them know if I found the item on sale or even clearance. Ultimately I had a couple of friends and coworkers ask me if I have ever considered helping other dress themselves. Eventually I started looking into how to start a styling business.

What should our readers know about your business?
Two things that I feel set me apart from others is my true desire to help others and have a real passion for fashion. Because of this, I treat each client just like I would want to be treated if I had requested the same service. My goal in every appointment is to make sure the client understands what looks good on them and why. I also work hard to make sure 100% customer satisfaction is achieved even if that means I am inconvenienced as a result. My passion for fashion means that I do not put my clients in anything that is not comfortable, trendy and fashionable.

I’m most proud of the training and business knowledge that I’ve acquired since I started my styling business in 2013. I’ve attended a all day workshop given by Celebrity Stylist Shun Melson and invested in several online courses and trainings. I’ve also been featured on the local news and in a newspaper publication here in Columbus, GA.

I want the world to know that my brand is about women’s empowerment, showcasing your best self and dressing well for every ocassion, big or small

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
A couple of places everyone should visit while in Columbus, GA are The Chattahoochee Riverwalk and Buckhead Grille which is a high end steak house.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would definitely have to say my husband Ernest deserves alot of credit. I am an entrepreneur at heart and so I’m always coming up with a new idea or needing to run something by him. I’m sure he is annoyed at times but he always listens and give me good feedback. His support is invaluable.
