We had the good fortune of connecting with Madi. Low and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Madi., what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
Practice. Practice is probably the most important aspect of anything that I do. I try to incorporate some form of practice everyday. Whether it’s ear training or just practicing melodies, I have to do some type of work on a regular basis.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Every year in January I pick new characteristics to add into my art. For 2022 I decided that I wanted more distortion & more unorthodox sounds/images. I wanna branch out what I make into even more unknown territory.

How I got where I am today was a lot of trial & error, I’m not gonna lie. But it’s part of the process & I’ve learned to realign myself when mistakes/accidents do happen. It wasn’t easy but def fulfilling.

A lesson I learned, is that in groups conflict happens, but it’s very important how you handle it. You can burn a bridge & create problems in trying to find a solution.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m a very introverted individual. If someone’s asking me where to go in Baltimore, I’d send them to Riverside Park. It’s really beautiful there. Then I’d say go to South Street Market, it’s a building full of food options for whatever food you’re in the mood for. After that I’d try to catch a show. Wether it’s at Ottobar or the Y-Not Lot, in the summer it’s plenty of stuff happening you can stumble upon.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
It’s about 800 people I can shout out, but shout out to Daja, a phenomenal singer/songwriter, Akeal , an amazing producer/instrumentalist,
Trey Rx, an incredible artist, and
Shon Ski, an unbelievable music maker.
