We had the good fortune of connecting with Lyse Florvella and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lyse, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I think of risk as giving it a try. Taking a risk has a huge toll on my life. I take risks daily. If you never try it how will you know? You have to take risk in life in order to grow. A major risk that I took was quitting my 9-5 job and Becoming a full time makeup artist. Was it scary? Yes! Was I doubtful? Yes! But So Far That decision alone has allowed me to grow in all aspects.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My Business Represents Beauty & Elegance. Simply feeling beautiful After Leaving My Chair Is Always The ultimate goal. I want the world to know that my brand is very authentic we represent all shades of beauty. My work simply enhances your beauty where you will still look and feel like yourself. The experience is outstanding. I got to where I am today with commitment and practice. Practicing everyday to never give up even if it gets discouraging and overwhelming. I appreciate the discouraging moments because it makes you appreciate the proud moments so much more. Lessons I’ve learned so far in my journey is to never stop promoting yourself/ your business they are always watching kee faith and keep it going.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
One of my favorite places that I’ve been to recently is called “ the rose bar” it is such a bibe! Amazing food and amazing people with great music plus its black-owned! I would definitely recommend that spot to anyone visiting this area.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I Read A Book Called “ How To Make Shit Happen” By Sean Whalen. That Book Changed My Mindset Forever So I would Definitely Like To Thank The Author. Before reading that book I was at a very low point of my life and wanted a change. After reading the first chapter immediately I saw an awakening It Made me look at everything differently. The whole concept was To have control over your mind, actions & response to everything in life. You will make mistakes but make sure you learn from it.
