We had the good fortune of connecting with Lovely Anderson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lovely, what is the most important factor behind your success?
My faith and walk with God is the most important factor.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I feel that what sets me apart is that I’m truly passionate about what I do. I truly believe wholeheartedly that my gifts are from God and that he has blessed me with the gift of creativity and the eye to pay attention to the small details of a client or other requested item. I never know who are home my creations will bless in the process.. I got to this moment due to my corporate America employer and not maximizing my full potential and at the point I felt I was settling and something just to pay the bill but I still had this feeling on the inside that I knew that there was more than just punching in and out of someone’s time clock and being micromanaged and not being valued by a company that will replace me within minutes. Lessons that I have learned along the way is to don’t allow people who don’t see the vision and dreams that God has given strictly to you to cloud your judgment on whether you were doing the right thing you have to do what you have been told and shown. Challenges that I have faced were recently due to reports my Etsy shop was closed and that was a devastating blow as that was a resource of income for me and soul relying on that resource my business declined and it’s been a little bit of a journey to get it back up with sales and posting in marketing etc. to be in to be and stay relevant What I want the world to know about my brand and my story is that I am again as I’m stating that I’m truly passionate about what I do I have built this with my bare hands literally, so the things that I make I think about the person I’m making it for their likes or dislikes and if I feel the need to send something else I do as I felt feel led. My items are unique they are very rare their custom they’re full of pretty blowing out items and if I am a walking gift shop I have everything that you need and to summit up when people ask me what I do I simply say I make pretty things!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My cousin Kay Gravesande has been there for from my transition from corporate America to my current entrepreneurship journey My life coach Shanelle Renee was a big part of taking my leap of faith
