We had the good fortune of connecting with London Grey and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi London, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
The amount of work and time that goes into being an artist/curator. Countless hours go into every single move we make. Every time you drop a project, it’s an entire process that a lot of people think is just making the music and saying fu## it, and dropping.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What I’m most excited about at this moment is my new project “Black Market Start” that’s about to come out early spring. I got to where I am today by mostly just nonstop creating no matter the risks it brought in my life, and by connecting with people. Making the soundtracks to peoples lives from my experiences that everyone can either connect with, or have a listening experience much like a crazy ass, lit, dark movie. It has not been easy at all, but I just kept moving forward at all times. If I got a chip on me I pretended it wasn’t there, just continued moving forward no matter the circumstances. A big lesson I’ve learned is just drop music. Once you’re ready to start dropping, don’t stop until you’re in a situation to take longer on roll outs. I want the world to we are all livid. Everyone on this earth

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them to eat at Foxx Jamaican on Edgewood, Hattie b’s, J R crickets, Kinnotori Ramen, Carneceria Hernandez, and a couple other places. I would take them to a couple low key spots I can’t talk about cause they for if you know you know. Also I’d take them to traffic, revery bar, Peter street, three points atl, Jacks, 5 points atl etc Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My whole new team, and the people around me from the jump. Also a big shoutout to every human being that’s had a good/bad influence in me in my life. You play a huge role in my creations.
