We had the good fortune of connecting with Lindsey Seals and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lindsey, what do you attribute your success to?
When it comes to starting a successful brand, I think the most important factors are authenticity and trust. I’ve found that the more genuine I am in the content I create for my blog and social media outlets, the more connections I’m able to make with my readers. Ads blogger, it’s those types of connections that build readership trust and helps them to come back to my content to be entertained, product recommendations and tips to make their lives easier.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As a dog mom lifestyle blogger I produce content for both my website and social media channels which cater not only to dog training advice, but tips and recommendations for dog moms as well. What makes lindseyandcoco.com different than other lifestyle and pet blogs is that I cover all aspects of life for millennial pet parents.

Today many women are opting to have children later in life or not at all. So they very devoted to their pets and building a life that centers around their own self-development, their careers and their own style. Lindsey & Coco caters to that group of women.

Starting a new blog from scratch differently isn’t easy and it’s even more challenging to make have a blog generate any income during the first year.

Building this brand has taught me the important of proper business planning, resiliency and grit. Some of the hardness challenges I’ve faced have been centered around continuing to push forward even when it feels like you are not making any progress.

Today what I’m most proud of is being asked to speak for the second year in a row at The Pet Summit: an annual education conference within the pet industry which brings brands, content creators, bloggers, small business owners and more together to learn, network and grow.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
So I am definitely a brunch lover. One of my favorite brunch spots in Atlanta is The Select Restaurant. The decor is absolutely gorgeous and the staff is so friendly.

Piedmont Park is also a favorite hangout of mine. During the summertime, I love to take my dogs over to its doggy pool. There’s also a nice fresh market within the park that’s fun to frequent.

Another great place the dogs and I love is The Atlanta Beltline. It’s great walk with lots of eateries and shops along the way.

For shopping I’d recommend Ponce City Market and also The Premium Outlets in Dawsonville.

Atlanta really is a great city; especially for pet parents. lol

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to give a shoutout to my content creation and blogging besties: Cara (IG: @henrythesmol) , Sharon (IG: @sharonandteddytakethecity) and Tay (IG: @gusandtaytakenyc).

The ladies have been so instrumental with keeping me motivating, helping me to explore new platforms and strategic planning for my blog’s future.
