We had the good fortune of connecting with Lenora Grace and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lenora, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I have always been both artistic and creative. I knew this at a young age. Growing up I didn’t always feel seen or heard. Sports and the arts were my outlet. When I was younger I saw a commercial of a ballerina and had a daydream of my name in lights. It was as if I snapped out of reality and then snapped back. Wild as heck for a kid right? After that, I remember talking to my mom and telling her I want to do that. “I want to be a dancer”! Was for a long time and always will be. Never did I think that I would fall in love with storytelling and be doing all of what I am now. I dipped my toes into theatre as a kid, but dance and sports was everything to me, so I never gave it a true go. When it came to modeling I just never thought I had the body for it, but always wanted to do it. My mom always wanted me to model. She was always taking pictures of me and posting them everywhere haha. I tried to run away from the arts believe it or not. Not once, not twice, but a few times man. I just didn’t believe in myself. I was in college for nursing, and even though I liked helping people, this burning urge for the arts would not go away. Sometime after covid I had dabbled in a few acting classes here and there, and officially dropped out of nursing school. Since then I have worked with Universal pictures twice. I have worked with many creative individuals, and a few who I have always looked up too. Worked in a number of commercials and films. Made my debut as a runway model, have worked with awesome brands, and packed my bags and moved to Atlanta by myself with only 700 dollars in the bank! .It took me a while to get here, and how I showed up for myself in my personal life has been shinning through in my career. I’ve been acting and modeling for a little while now, and I am extremely proud of myself and what I have achieved in a short time frame.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Well I am a future Oscar winner and fashion mogul! Haha! I am a film and tv actress, fashion model who loves to sing and write music and brings versatility in voice-overs with my expansive vocal rangeI
I have a few projects in development that I cannot discuss in detail. However, I am extremely excited about this year in general. It’s packed and I’m beyond grateful. I’m eager to begin filming two films in particular, because they are genres that some people in the industry said I would never be able to do. I’m a busy body for sure. So whether I am auditioning for my favorite tv shows, films, traveling to the next city for shoots, or content creating I am locked down in the best way. What I can share js I’m excited to be a keynote speaker for the mental health seminar in my city Houston Texas for Deblin Concepts this month. Mental health is very important in my life and being able to help as many folks while I continue to heal as much as I can brings a type of joy to my heart that is unexplainable.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Oh well, I just moved here not too long ago, so I am still adjusting and learning Atlanta, but some of my favorite places to go thus far are: Red Pepper Taquiera. Starbucks on Peachtree street (with the outlet area). Atlantic Station. Egg Harbor Cafe and West Egg Cafe. I love breakfast food any time of the day, and these two places also cater to my healthy eating lifestyle. Even though I’m a Netflix and chill type of person especially to save money I do love going to theaters every once in awhile for that popcorn and dark chocolate almonds experience. So far Regal Theater in Atlantic Station is my spot. I’m addicted to bobba tea and I have no intentions of going to rehab, so if you can relate Noba chi is an awesome bobba tea spot,
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
GOD! If it wasn’t for GOD I wouldn’t have gotten through the nights alone. Even last year when I moved to Atlanta man. I faced some really big hardships and many months of sadness. Especially being in a new state alone..At the same time GOD blessed my life and career in the midst of the storm. My mother! Whew! That talented, warrior of a woman was my first and still is biggest inspiration on and off stage. The way she lit up a room full of people man….Like, the way she carried herself on and off the stage. Hoping in and out of characters with ease. The way she captivated audiences with her vocals was an event in of itself. Haha.. Her own preparation for a performance/role is and always will be a big part of how I prepare and operate within my artistry. My beautiful spouse! I truly thank GOD for blessing me with a true partner. He treats my dreams, goals, buisness endeavors, whatever it is that I am doing or want to do as if they are his own. He saw me on tv before I was actually on tv haha. He inspires me to go harder. He is my best friend and biggest cheerleader. Truly! Those three above? They deserve the world!
