We had the good fortune of connecting with Lavette Minn and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lavette, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind the success of my brand was being very clear on who I was building my business and brand for while building a community around them. When I launched The Family Brand Movement in 2017, I knew who I wanted to serve but I wasn’t clear on how I was going to serve them. After rebranding 4 times, my target audience shifted but with much more clarity. I changed my brand messages to speak directly to them and that’s when the success followed.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
The Family Brand Movement, LLC is a Brand Development Agency that helps business owners looking to build their family brand & legacy to build their brand, increase their sales & leads with Brand Development, Attraction Marketing and applying Universal Laws.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love laughing and comedy shows so we would definitely have to go check out a comedy show at BQE on a Wednesday night and the Atlanta Comedy Theather on a Saturday night. Friday night we would check out Arizona’s by Stonecrest Mall for good eating while listening to live music. If this visit is during summer time, we would try to attend a concert held at Lakewood Amphitheater. The new Sudo Lounge in Ellenwood is about 3 minutes up the street from me so we would squeeze in some time to eat wings and dance 💃
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I always say “Without the people, you don’t and won’t exist.” So with that, I have to give thanks to my Diamond Leaders tribe for their unwavering support. I want to specifically shout out Bell-A-Trix Marie, Sabriya Morris, Nicole Whidbee and Shara Prophet. We’ve been working on a project for 2 months that launched on September 17th 2020. Over those 2 months, they have shown me what real sisterhood looks like. No debates, no unsolved disagreements, no envy, no competition. Just pure collaboration. I also would like to shoutout everyone that entered my life at some point to teach me something. Those lessons helped, and continue to assist, me in my phases of “Becoming”. I also have to shoutout my family and friends. I love you much.. Thank you!
