Meet Lauren Bunch | Wellness Expert, Corporate Executive & Pantomimist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lauren Bunch and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lauren, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Starting my own business wasn’t a sudden decision—it was the result of many experiences that God used to shape and prepare me over time.
On the health, wellness, and fitness side of my life, movement has always been part of who I am. I played volleyball and threw in track during college, and I’ve always loved being active. Later, as a stepdown nurse, I was led into preventive medicine as a Nurse Educator with the Army Wellness Centers in Germany and Texas. There, I trained as a health coach and went deeper into nutrition, fitness testing, metabolic rates, biofeedback, and helping people reach their personal goals. At the time, I didn’t realize how much those early years would shape not just my career—but my life’s mission. Each experience became a building block for what LD Bliss, LLC would one day stand for.
Spiritually, my foundation began early. I’ve loved the Lord since childhood, growing up watching my mother lead worship and praise God both publicly and quietly through every season of life. Her devotion taught me that worship isn’t just what you do on a stage—it’s how you live. For me, worship became dance. As my relationship with God deepened, so did my expression through movement. Dance became my place of healing, especially during one of the hardest seasons of my life—walking through divorce, moving back home, completing my master’s degree, and serving in the ICU during COVID while feeling completely burned out.
In that breaking place, I asked God a simple but life-changing question: “What would You have me to do in this season?” God answers in many ways, and He sent the answer through Dr. Ibrahim Dakubu—my mentor, coach, and spiritual leader. Through his transformational leadership, LD Bliss was born with a clear purpose: to empower people to become the healthiest versions of themselves—mind, body, soul, and spirit.
What began as a calling has grown into a mission. Under Dr. Dakubu’s guidance, my desire to serve God and serve people expanded beyond anything I imagined, leading me to also serve in leadership with Jeremiah Ministries International, MCD Music & Entertainment, Inc., and Dunamis Global Media, Inc. LD Bliss is not just a business—it is the intersection of my faith, my healing, my leadership, and my lifelong passion to help others live whole.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My career has been shaped by seasons of growth, redirection, and deep personal refinement. At its core, what sets me apart is my ability to integrate multiple worlds—healthcare, wellness, creativity, leadership, and service—into work that is both disciplined and deeply human.
Professionally, my foundation is in nursing and health education, where I’ve worked across high-intensity clinical environments, preventive medicine, and wellness coaching. Those experiences taught me how to serve people not just in crisis, but proactively—helping them build healthier, more sustainable lives. Over time, that work expanded into entrepreneurship through LD Bliss, where I now focus on holistic wellness, leadership development, and empowerment.
Alongside healthcare, creativity has always been part of my journey. Artistic expression—through movement, music, and creative leadership—became both a personal outlet and a professional calling. Rather than choosing one path, I learned how to let each part inform the other. My creativity deepened my leadership, and my clinical discipline strengthened my creative work. That intersection is where I do my best work.
It was not an easy path. I’ve navigated burnout, career pivots, divorce, single parenthood, and rebuilding during seasons that required both resilience and humility. There were moments when progress felt slow and the path unclear. What carried me through was a willingness to reflect, seek mentorship, stay teachable, and adjust without quitting. I learned that growth often comes through refinement, not acceleration.
Some of the greatest lessons I’ve learned are the importance of sustainability, integrity, and presence. Success without health is not success. Growth without alignment is not freedom. I’ve learned to pace myself, honor seasons, and build in a way that allows both impact and longevity.
What I’m most proud of is not just what I’ve built, but how I’ve built it—with intention, values, and care for people. I’m proud of creating work that leaves others better than I found them, and of modeling balance, resilience, and integrity for my children.
What I want the world to know about me and my brand is simple: this is a story of wholeness. LD Bliss is not about perfection or hustle culture—it’s about alignment, growth, and living well across every dimension of life. My work exists to remind people that they don’t have to choose between excellence and wellness, leadership and humanity, creativity and discipline. They can hold all of it—and thrive.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were visiting, I’d want them to experience Pensacola the way I love it—warm, and full of moments that invite you to linger. We’d start early one morning by grabbing a drive-thru coffee from 7 Brew and heading to Pensacola Beach to catch the sunrise. There’s something peaceful about beginning the day that way—quiet, open, and unhurried.
Beach days would be easy and family-friendly, mixed with long walks along the Pensacola Beach Boardwalk, ice cream stops, and plenty of time to just enjoy being together. When we’re ready for good food, brunch would include local favorites like George’s Bistro or Ruby Slipper Café, and we’d definitely stop by Craft Bakery for a sweet treat.
Downtown time would mean strolling Palafox Street, popping into local shops, and soaking up the community vibe. Dinner at McGuire’s Irish Pub would be a must—it’s one of those places that feels both lively and welcoming for all ages. We’d also catch a Pensacola Blue Wahoos game, which is always a fun, classic experience and a great way to enjoy the local spirit.
I’d make sure there was space for self-care and slowing down too—maybe a facial at Epiphany Skincare while the rest of the group explores nearby cafés or relaxes. Evenings would often end simply: home-cooked meals, board games, laughter, and conversations that stretch late into the night.
For me, the best experiences aren’t about checking boxes—they’re about shared moments, good food, beautiful surroundings, and being fully present. Pensacola offers that balance so naturally, and it’s exactly the kind of experience I’d want to share with someone I love.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are so many people who have shaped my journey. At the foundation of everything, I give credit to my faith, which has guided me through every season and provided strength and clarity along the way.
I’m deeply grateful for my family, whose love and support have been constant through growth, transition, and rebuilding. I also want to honor the mentors who poured into me and challenged me to lead with integrity and purpose—especially Coach Dennis Harris, Dr. Patricia Bacchus, and Dr. Ibrahim Dakubu, whose transformational leadership has had a profound impact on my personal and professional development.
Beyond individuals, I’m thankful for every teacher, colleague, and community that contributed wisdom, encouragement, and perspective. No journey is built alone, and I carry deep gratitude for those who helped shape the path I walk today.
