We had the good fortune of connecting with Laura Frazier and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Laura, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
In our industry, we are paid by the hotels after the trip has been completed. So all of the work we’re doing now, with changing dates and rebooking trips for people that are impacted by COVID, is all work that we’re doing without compensation so please be kind to your travel agent.
What should our readers know about your business?
We’ve been in business for almost 16 years. We have a great team of people that travels often and really work hard to make sure that each trip exceeds the client’s expectations. I think the most difficult part about our job is that no matter how much effort we put into a trip, there’s so much that is beyond our control. If a flight is delayed, luggage is lost, or something like a hurricane comes along, we often bear the brunt of it.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would go to Mexico. The food is amazing. The history and the culture has so much to offer. And the people are genuinely friendly.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Judith White from White Sand Travel in GA. She’s been a wonderful friend and support system over the years.
