We had the good fortune of connecting with Late Night Creator and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Late Night Creator, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I honestly believe it chose me. Ever since I was Little I’ve always created. I think every bone in my body is creative lol. Im not sure if everyone can wrap their head around it, but I just know who I am and that’s what I want To do with my life. It’s my safe haven. I don’t need anyones approval. I can Be me. I’ve worked so many different jobs, of course to make a living, but it was never as expressing, or fun like how I am with my Business. Having to follow other’s rules never was for me so I kept, and will keep going with my creative career. A lot of people don’t understand me but I know when they engage with whatever i create, they see me. There’s no plan B, and I’ve always said this. Some people will throw their doubts on you, but the urge for me to create never stopped me. Different life situations never stopped me from creating. I’m always creating or at least thinking of it. So that’s what made me pursue my creative career.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I believe With my art, I feel Like I capture the essence of whatever it is on the paper or canvas. You feel some message coming from it. I like To paint people, and a lot of times I like to throw in messages because I think its important to create things some people might not know how to express. How did I get To where I am Today professionally? I feel Like I have a long way to go tbh lol, but I never quit. I keep going, and I always want to be better than I was The day before, whether it’s creative wise or as a business woman. It’s definitely not easy. Life has definitely has its foot on my neck lol, but I’m learning everyday how to cope with things and not let situations leave me to where I have Nothing else. I listen To podcast, read books and those around me encourage me a lot. The lessons I’ve learned up until now is This too shall pass, as my mom would’ve said it. Don’t burn yourself out trying to keep up with everyone else. The right people will gravitate to you. Always be yourself. Be grateful because Not being grateful will leave you in a chaotic and depressing mood. Still learning to embrace now and being thankful for what I do Have. I want the world to know about my brand/story is that it’s very cliche but you can literally do anything you put your mind too. Over the past 5 months I’ve felt like I’ve lost so much that i didnt Expect and thought it’ll still be here, but it didn’t stop me. When anyone sees anything I create, I hope It sparks something in your soul or mind.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
At the space I am Right now, i want to go to a waterfall and just live in the moment so I’d definitely do that! We are going to eat some crablegs because we love that! We like to experience life and do different things so more than likely we’d be on adventures and she’s definitely lived here before, so we’d probably catch a flight somewhere else lol.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My parents. My mom had always encouraged me to do whatever I put My mind too. My dad will do the same and also help me execute it if he can. And also I feel as if I get My creativeness from my parents because they are also creative beings as well. I appreciate all of those who have poured into my creativity, whether it was financially or words of encouragement, or sharing my works.
