We had the good fortune of connecting with LaTasia Wright and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi LaTasia, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
“When you learn, teach, when you get, give.” Maya Angelou I love this quote because it supports the ideal we don’t live life for just ourselves. We are born to make a difference in the world. As we grow and develop we should help others do the same.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I own LT Fitness LLC, created in 2017 to birth my dreams of owning a business. While working for boutiques fitness studios in the Atlanta area I started to market myself as a personal trainer and for wellness events. My business developed into multiple services of coaching clients through a nutritional network marketing company, running online fitness challenge groups, and a small group of one on one fitness training clients. I enjoyed running my own small business and being a leader in a local fitness studio as a lead teacher. Fast forward to today I have had a second child and restructured my business. I now run LT Fitness Virtual Studio to provide on demand fitness classes. The challenges I faced is being a mother and staying focused on running my own business. Going completely virtual allows me to serve my family while still pursuing my dreams. I also believe in God’s timing and plan. I am growing to pray about every decision and surrender to God’s will for my life. As I mature in my faith I learned that God’s plan can better than my own. I have also learned nothing is wasted. Every experience develops me as an individual and a better business person. I have switched my focus from a high bottom line to how can I serve others while producing an income to help support my family. I want others to know I am continuing to grow as well as develop a brand that will help others be healthy in mind, body, and soul. I seek to encourage, inspire, create community and just happen to be good at pushing others through physical challenges. I am eager to learn as well as excited to serve others with my talents and gifts.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my bestie came in time today and life was normal…We would go to the Avalon! We could get our hair done at The Dry Bar, eat at Marlows, and hopefully attend a free event depending on what is going on in the plaza. On another day we would go to downtown Roswell and eat at Roux on Canton. Depending on what the friend wants to do, we could do nature walks or go shopping at Lenox.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Wow! That could be a long list of people. I first would have to thank God, my Lord and savior Jesus Christ. His grace and mercy has carried me to this point. He guides and gives me hope for the future. My mom instilled confidence in me that I can do and be anything. She prepared me for life challenges, taught me lessons in humility, gave me room to make my own mistakes to learn from them and prayed for me. Lastly there are multiple people that have impacted me along the way in my career. A collective has helped shape my skills as a fitness professional, leader, business woman and mentor. I don’t believe anyone is self. All experiences and people helped build me into the person I am today.
