We had the good fortune of connecting with Lara B Anderson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lara B, what makes you happy? Why?
Seeing my clients smiling faces makes me happy. I specialize in organizing life changes, whether it be exciting times with a new baby, a graduating senior, or a new home office. But I also help with the hard times: moving, divorce, illness and death. Bringing comfort to my client and knowing I have made a difference in one of the above most stressful times makes me happy. I feel fulfilled when I have accomplished something to make someone’s life a little easier. Giving my clients more time to focus on the things they truly enjoy makes me happy!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am celebrating 15 years of Professional Organizing and Move Management. When I first started in this industry, I was one of the youngest women in the meetings. It is exciting to now be one of the more experienced organizers and seeing even younger people enter our industry directly out of college! I am unique to organizing and move management because I have owned my company throughout all stages of life. Starting my company when I had just moved cross country and was single, to living with roommates, to marrying and becoming a wife and then a mother. I have turned into my ideal client: a busy, working mom of two wild boys! I am lucky to be celebrating 15 years of business due to the support of my incredible husband, boys, parents, sister and family, friends and extended family who have spread the word about Leave it to Lara! over the years, used our services, shared our services and supported our company! I am also incredibly thankful to my clients who have used our services and who continue to refer us to their friends and family.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
When a friend comes to visit, Ponce City Market is on the top of our list! We take in brunch with bloody marys at Nine Mile Station followed by mini golf. We’ll head north to Roswell Mill for an afternoon hike to enjoy the waterfalls. We’ll enjoy dinner at Seed in Marietta and indulge in their warm skillet cornbread, followed up with the chocolate chunk cookie skillet for dessert. If we have any energy left, we’ll hit Canton Street in Roswell to taste the various taps and dance the night away to live music! We love Atlanta!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a Shoutout to my lead organizer of nine years, Michelle Uelze. She has been my work rock for over half of my career, and excels with her incredible skill, flexibility, strength and dedication.
