We had the good fortune of connecting with Krista Dauphin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Krista, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I wanted an outlet for my creativity. I had chosen to stay at home with my kids and as they got older and became more and more independent I had the time to really focus on myself and rediscover what it was that really brought me joy and what my passion was. I started to make things that I really loved and connected to. I enjoyed it so much I started to share the things I made on social media and it caught on. I also wear all my jewelry so people would always ask me where I got my jewelry and if they could buy it. It really was very organic.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I love creating one of a kind things. I love the opportunity to make something custom and truly special for someone. I have created so many pieces for birthday gifts or anniversary’s or special events. I love to connect to people that way and it is special to own something made just for you, it feels good. It makes beautiful memories in people’s lives there’s no better feeling. Many clients have told me they cried after receiving a special pieces. I have heard many times how well loved something I made has been. It’s amazing.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m kind of a homebody so my answers won’t be as extensive as some but I will give my favorites. I think Anderson’s sunflower farm, when in season, is spectacular and a must. I also think a hike to the top of Stone Mountain on a clear beautiful day is quintessential Atlanta. The Dekalb Farmers Market for it’s abundant, fresh, dazzlingly diverse bustling shopping experience, but take a parka it’s freezing in there! Get a bag of their hazelnut flovored coffee truly divine. Southern Sweets bakery is the secret spot for to die for desserts. My son’s almond flour wedding cake came from there and it blew everybody’s mind they couldn’t believe it was gluten free.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First is my Husband and children because of their unwavering love and encouragement. They have been my rock in some incredibly challenging times and every thing I am is because of their support and love. I have a life long soulmate best friend that juices me to no end and is a treasured jewel in my heart. I have been incredibly blessed with the most amazing spiritual teachers and mentors in my life.
I could not have developed or opened my creativity to the level I have without their immense blessings, influence and guidance. There have been many but a special Thank you to Dr. and Master Zhi Gang Sha, who demonstrates everday the highest right path to living and empowers his students to do the same through his unique Quantum healing art feild. He taught me the purpose of life is to make others happier and healthier and that clarity changed my life forever, it stripped away much confusion on the spiritual journey.
I love Osho and his book on creativity is truly inspired and mind blowing. One of my favorite quotes of his is, “Creativity is the greatest rebellion in existence” I have found this to be 100% true. A passion and commitment to live from your heart takes a true rebel. All of life seems to want to break us of this to crush it out of us. It takes guts and determination to express and live our true hearts desires. You can’t wait around for someone to give you permission it will never happen. Also to everyone who ever loved or bought or supported my creations in any way every single one of them has a very special place in my heart.
