We had the good fortune of connecting with Kishana Holland and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kishana, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
Believing that everything is attainable has always been at the forefront of my success. In lieu of seeing obstacles as road blocks, I view them as opportunities to learn and to grow.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am the Founder & Lead Brand Strategist at Holland Group Public Relations. I am proud to be a women-led public relations firm well versed in the business of building brands. Starting my business came out of necessity when despite my experience and media background, top-tier firms would not hire me. I stepped out on faith and created my own opportunity and carving out a unique lane for myself in the marketing industry.
My firm is more than Public Relations and Marketing. My 22+ year entrepreneurial experience has afforded me the opportunity to share my experiences via brand and business coaching.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Atlanta’s dining scene is ever evolving and constantly offering new spots to hang out. An ideal day in Atlanta for me is an afternoon at Ponce Market, snagging lunch or taking in the sights on the rooftop. College Park boasts a bevy of thriving restaurants and lounges such as Virgils Gullah Kitchen & Bar where Happy Hour is always an amazing time.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
This story is dedicated to my maternal grandparents James Olin Washington & Bertha Mae Washington. They have poured love into me like no other and always led me to believe that I could do anything and be anything. Everything I am is because of them.
