We had the good fortune of connecting with Kirk Broussard and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kirk, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
“Go where the world is going in the future. Not where we are now”

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I will start by saying my businesses are set up to give back. I have established several business over the last 15 years which include day, swing and dividend trading in the stock market, international Airnb rentals in the Caribbean, youth football and development camps nationwide, sports podcast hosting, event promotions (comedy and music), and my Feed the Kids of Dominican Republic campaign. Previous to starting my companies I was a football coach, coaching in the NFL for 5 seasons, college football for 3 seasons and arena football league 5 seasons. I also spent a short time in Navy ROTC, and the U.S. Air Force. This is where I also improved my discipline and principles needed to develop my businesses. After the military, I attended Pasadena City College and Citrus College on a football scholarship. I also lettered in track and field in the 100m and 200m dash. College athletics is were I learned to balance a series of tasks daily. This skill set carried over into my businesses. My athletic career eventually lead me to play and coach clinics in Europe. To this day I have traveled to over 15 countries worldwide. I, with out a doubt, believe what sets me apart from others in business are the attributes I developed from my vast amount of experiences. I literally went from growing up in a neighborhood filled with violence and drugs, compounded by an abusive father, to chasing a football dream taking a greyhound bus from Florida to California to play small college football with NFL aspirations. To then being homeless during my college career and finally to becoming the man I am now. It’s was never easy. But because of God and my grandfather I overcame all the odds. The most valuable lesson I learned was from my youth football coach. He saw me with the “wrong crowd” once and he knew my potential. He told me something I will never forget. He said “grass and trees start from the same place. But grass doesn’t hang around with trees”. This statement made me think and helped change my course in life. I want people to know that my business strives to leave an imprint in society that will generate generational wealth for my lineage and to generate a positive impact to children through my football development camps and feeding orphanages in the Dominican Republic. My personal goal is to leave the world in a better place and to grow closer to God through Jesus Christ my Lord and savior.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

The Food Shoppe Downtown ATL Great place to eat. Authentic New Orleans cuisine.
Being a Sports fan, I would probably check out a Hawks or Falcons game.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?

I dedicate this shutout to Albert S. Broussard- my late Grandfather
He saved my life in every aspect.
He taught me many things about being a man. Many things about becoming a person of integrity and putting God first.
