We had the good fortune of connecting with KieraYogini Winters and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi KieraYogini, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
The most important lesson my business has taught me is consistency and time management. I am also a stay at home mom of two toddlers as well as a teen, and there are plenty of days where I feel like I don’t have enough hours in the day, or I may want to sleep in a few extra hours but I can’t because I have to tend to the little ones, and get ready for my “work” day which starts at 2pm.
I have learned the importance of making a schedule and trying my best to stick to it, because life happens–but with a schedule and planning my day, I get more of a sense of accomplishment of handling my day instead of letting my day handle me.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is called Blue Lotus Sacred Healing Place, LLC.
I specialize in divinations using tarot, Oracle and in the future, bone readings. I also offer Sacred Lotus coaching and consultations if a client needs advice etc. Also (pre pandemic) I offer/ed Private Kemetic Yoga classes which I’m looking forward to resume in later months.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We’d go to eat at one of my favorite restaurants called Willys Mexicana Grill. Then we’d hit up the skating rink since I don’t do clubs. I’m a nature girl and any friend of mine would know that, so we’d definitely have to spend some time outside. I’d take her to some herb shops, the Historic West End to some vegan restaurants, some crystal shops and maybe a yoga class or two. The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First I would like to shout out my husband, Phillip for always supporting me, believing in me, encouraging me and pushing me when I felt I couldn’t do it. Thank you babe and I love you!
My very first yoga instructor, Kamean. It was through his class back in 2015 that changed my life and made me fall in love with yoga. Thank you bro for your sweet spirit and love.
To my Master Instructor, Yirser Ra Hotep, the mastermind of Kemetic Yoga. Thank you for this healing practice and sharing your years of knowledge. Thank you for teaching me and certifying me so that I’m able to heal people through this beautiful practice.
And last but definitely not least, thank you to my Ancestors. If it wasn’t for them, I would not have the gift to see, hear and feel the things thats unseen. Thank you for entrusting me with my gift, and trusting me to do the work to heal our family, and generations in our family to come.
