We had the good fortune of connecting with Kebriana Rogers and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kebriana, other than deciding to work for yourself, what was the single most important decision you made that contributed to your success?
The single most important decision that has contributed to my success was deciding that I would be willing to learn from others. For many people, “self-taught” truly means they’ve learned everything on their own. For me, it also means being filled with knowledge from people in my industry whom I admire and trust. Never being too prideful to inquire or too content with my processes allows me to grow infinitely.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
The most important element of my art is the people I get to meet and know. Being able to make people feel comfortable and confident is the key to what makes my art so beautiful. It makes me proud when people say “wow, this is me..” when they look at the photos I take of them. That is my ultimate goal; to help people stop and SEE themselves in the midst of this fast thing we call Life. We get to freeze a moment of it and they get to cherish it forever. I want people to know that my brand is about making them feel seen by the ones who need it most; them. It’s their world. I’m merely blessed with the gift and the purpose of capturing it.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Oh this is lit lol. Okay, so boom. We’re definitely going to Toast on Lenox, Ms. Icey’s Kitchen, Rock Steady and Roc South. We’ll definitely slide to Slutty Vegan, Slim & Husky’s, Velvet Taco, Top Spice and Mr. Everything on the casual food runs. We would go have some fun at The Painted Duck and Punch Bowl Social. We would have some good drinks and great vibes at The Garden Room for sure. And an American Deli run, for the culture. Can’t leave ATL without having a 10 piece. lol

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Wow. There’s so many. If okay, I have a few. I would like to dedicate my shoutout to Dontè Maurice for introducing me to the first lens that would elevate my journey. I would like to dedicate this to Chris Triplett and DaRika Harris for teaching me lighting. I would like to dedicate this to Hassan Richardson for teaching me post-processing and retouching. I would like to dedicate this to Kendal Lanier for expanding my knowledge of the inner-workings of my camera and introducing me to resources that have most recently elevated me in my craft.
