We had the good fortune of connecting with Kayla Got The 411 and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kayla Got The 411, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
From a early age, art was always my escape. I started off writing in diaries to get my thoughts together because I was young depressed. I also would do sketch drawing as well. As I got into middle school I won many writing contests. Everyone around me saw my potential before I did. Once I got into high school I learned to do more digital art. I still would hear people say how creative I was but I didn’t believe in myself to see my own gift during my teen years. I went to college and saw how I did do well at the design classes and hated the marketing classes. It took years of growing into a woman to understand my true gift was speaking to people and creating content. I am very witty, funny and charismatic and creating makes me happy. Once I discovered that, I created my brand Kayla Got The 411.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a media personality who started my website www.kaylagotthe411.com in 2016 dedicated to women who love girl talk. I later turned my blog into a podcast with topics on celebrity news, hot topics, politics, relationships, and lifestyle in 2018. I am known for my comic-style commentary but also my realness on topics I have been through. I am relatable and will always give my honest real opinion if it others don’t agree. I started my official talk show on YouTube interview 2020 to expand my brand. I now interview amazing artists to give them a platform to reach bigger audience, and I I give the 411 on current events. Currently all my segments are ,Whats The 411 Segment ,Whats The Reaction Segment ,Whopping Wednesday , Whats Good Segment ,Whats Your Story Segment. My goal is to give people a experience of watching a real life talk show. I create all my graphics and designs from the logos to the art covers. My show is recorded, and edited by me.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am very girly so I would recommend going to a nice paint and sip. There are many in the city of Atlanta and that theme nights. We would then do brunch at Suite lounge on a Saturday and head to the Gold Room to enjoy night life. For a relaxing day I would take them to Spa Land which has saunas and we could enjoy the entire day relaxing . Food in the city is amazing so a visit to Ponce City Market is a must. The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate this to my daughter Jizelle. She is currently 9 and I had her at age 21. She has been my biggest motivation because I don’t think I would be hustling so hard if I didn’t have her looking up to me. She watches me set up to record for my show , buy equipment and sees how dedicated I am. Her words of encouragement always gives me hope I need . I like to show her certain things I am working on and she always smiles and says how cool it is. I hope that she sees working hard to make my dreams come true of having a national talk shows, and knows she too can do anything she has a passion for
