We had the good fortune of connecting with Kalil Sherrod and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kalil, what do you attribute your success to?
My willingness to go the extra mile for the athletes I train. Whether it be staying late coming in earlier, finding ways to build more “buy in” to the training; I’m willing to do. This stems from me just wanting to help others achieve things they thought weren’t possible for themselves.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I used to play Semi- Pro Basketball and Played Division 2 Basketball and knew after playing I always wanting to get into Strength and Conditioning full time and Own my own gym someday. I’ve been working at The Rack athletic Performance Center for past two years. Im most proud of the results I’ve gotten with all my female athletes. Making young girls strong is so much fun for me and I truly believe thats something that will help them positively for the rest of their lives.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Grana in buckhead has probably been the best restaraunt I’ve been to since moving down here. I also enjoy red pepper taqueria because of their margaritas.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
