Hi Judith, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

I love that quote because it grounds me and is relevant in every situation. It allows me to check in with myself to find the balance between what is and what I may want something to be.

What should our readers know about your business?
I am a Professional Counselor with a specialty in Sex Therapy. I work with individuals and couples that may have questions, concerns or curiosities about their sexuality, desires and/or difficulties with intimacy.

My practice, Heal on Purpose LLC was established in 2021. My passion for helping others to achieve the version of themselves that they desire was born out of the lack of confidence within myself to achieve the me that I desired. Heal on Purpose is more than just a psycho-therapy practice, it is a safe place for individuals struggling with fear, abandonment, trust and self-esteem issues to be seen, heard and learn to appreciate the person they see in the mirror.

I resigned from my very stable government job to pursue my passion. It definitely was not a fear-less leap but rather a leap of faith. During a staff meeting a clear voice said to me ” Leap and the net will appear”. I resigned that very day and never looked back. I can say with confidence that the most challenging aspect of starting my own business was battling with imposter syndrome however, I surrounded myself with awesomeness. Awesome friends, family, colleagues, music, podcasts, etc.

I am a strong believer that self-confidence is a superpower, once we start to believe in ourselves… the magic starts to happen.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
For places to eat in my area, I would absolutely recommend Blue Back Square in West Hartford. There is something there for every palate to appreciate. Connecticut is a great place for nature lovers, with lots of hiking trails, bike trails and scenic views. Historical gems are dotted throughout, especially on the way to the casino – Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun, where entertainment, great food and shopping is guaranteed.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are so many individuals that have helped to shape the person that I have become today. From the cheer leaders to the Nay sayers, they have an equal stake in my success. The individuals that are the real MVP’s of my story are my 4 children. They have been beside me at every stressful event, every graduation and every accomplishment. They wiped my tears and cheered me on, they were genuinely proud of me. That is what pushed me to strive for better.
