We had the good fortune of connecting with Jordan Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jordan, why did you pursue a creative career?
I felt purpose in creativity. I never enjoyed a 9-5 occupation. I believe my art brings joy and rejuvenating one’s dream. To be honest I believe God allows me to share a piece of Himself with me and it just brings me joy.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art is a reflection of my authenticity as a person. I like to capture my perception of how I perceive people. I am most proud about me just doing it! To be honest, deciding to commit on my development and just creating. It was a challenging process because I had to find my “voice” in my art and stay consistent in it. It is still a process as I am constantly evolving as a person. I overcame by reassuring myself and stopping the comparison game of my work vs. others. I learned that as a creative you have to be true to your self. Authenticity is key. I want y’all to know that I WILL CREATE FROM THE HEART ALWAYS AND FOREVER! My story is unique and my process is one that I take pride in!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would recommend the downtown area. The downtown is full of different restaurants and bars that you can enjoy.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to FIRT give glory to my Lord and savior Jesus Christ. My wife Christina and kids Joshua and Lauren. My Mom, Dad, my big brother Corey and my family. I give a big shout to my family at Daystar Family Church. You all hold me down !
