We had the good fortune of connecting with Jordan Caldwell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jordan, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The success of my career so far is solely based on the perseverance and dedication to my talents and skills. My family and foundation also have a huge impact on how hard I work towards achieving the many goals and aspirations i’ve created over the years in entertainment and production. Staying true to who I am no matter how many unsuccessful projects i’ve endeavored as Ive been on this journey, learning from all the mistakes and creating healthy boundaries will always be the best idea.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Starting out as just an actor in 5th grade was the beginning of my love for all forms of art. Dancing and singing came shortly after in middle school where I began performing in musicals and chorus performances for the entirety of my time there, By the time I got to high school, I had one goal: “Perform as much as you can, Learn from everyone you can, and Try EVERYTHING.” Which I ended up sticking to, Many performances , lots of learning and tried lots of new skills in art. Tv and film have had my heart since I could comprehend what the actors were saying in movies and shows, so in High school I knew that was one thing I wanted to do as well. I starred in my first short film “Blackout” where I was able to learn so much about the BTS of filmmaking. 1 month after filming wrapped, I began writing my first short film, “The Enhancement”. With all I learned and a very small budget and crew, I accomplished my first ever Short film in about 7 months at the age of 19, Not the easiest experience but I gained more self discipline and being organized . Writing, Directing and Producing became my main passion but my love for musical theater never died, I kept it alive by appearing on Rent the musical off-broadway in the heart of New York city, and now currently working as an elementary school theater instructor where I can help create and teach the Musical theater stars of the future.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I have an unexplainable love for Puerto rico, and The culture & diversity they offer. Every-time I have visited I learned something new and enjoyed myself. Its relaxing, Amazing weather, Great food AND they’re really friendly out there! In most parts of course ! San juan is the obvious hot spot, but Hatillo is also really beautiful and has amazing views !

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to personally Thank all of my prior team members and former cast-mates! You all have so many different experiences in the same field I’ve always loved, and I have taken bits and pieces of all of your stories and instilled them in my growth process to become one the best entertainers and production members out there. My former Dance Teacher ( Daniel Montera) and my Theater teacher (Bronwyn Fugate) for the skills and talents I’ve had enhanced from working with you both! Thanking my family for believing in my journey and continuing to push me to fight harder everyday, This is for you guys! and lastly, the team at “Geminifilmz” for kickstarting my experience in web reality and allowing me to pursue one of my childhood goals of working in reality television. It was a pleasure working with you guys and I learned from all of you in some way , shape or form.
