Meet Jennifer Rives | Permanent jewelry artist & teacher

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jennifer Rives and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jennifer, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I was missing a creative outlet that would also provide me with an extra income in addition to my career. As my children have grown older, I found myself looking for some way to allow myself to be creative.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As a permanent jewelry artist I get to connect with people who are looking to commemorate a special event or relationship or just add a unique custom piece of jewelry to their collection. I enjoy the opportunity to connect with people and create a custom bracelet, anklet, or necklace. Owning a small business isn’t always easy. You deal with slow months with little sales and busy months dealing with delayed shipping times for inventory. Owning Fused Forever has been a great decision. I can model to my children what it is like to own your own business and connect with so many people along the way.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There are so many great places to visit in the Atlanta area! Downtown Cartersville is a great town with some amazing small shops and restaurants! In addition to the shopping and restaurants, there are some great museums to visit in Cartersville.
I also enjoy Marietta Square. It is a great place to visit, especially during the first Friday Art Walk on the square.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My husband and kids have been very supportive of my small business. I appreciate how much they have helped me creating graphics, making inventory choices, and visiting me at local pop up events.
