We had the good fortune of connecting with Jenelle Salazar and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jenelle, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I’ve always known I wanted to have my own business I just didn’t know what or when ut would actually happen

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m self made. I created a brand from scratch with no real support just me. I knew what I didn’t want & I knew what I wanted. I’ve been self employed for over 18 years. Started out in the modeling industry & converted into personal training. Building my brand around my personal training business which started in 2005 from there I started one on one training, fitness classes then Fitness tours, I Started a fitness clothing line BODIED ATHLETICS in early 2017 & APP called BODIED In IOS & GOOGLEPLAY, also Just opened a Hempline called Hemp By J. Evolving is what I’m about. There’s so ouch more to come.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Wow! This is going to be fun! We’d definitely plan workouts at my home gym The Forum Athletic Club, lunch at Truefood Kitchen a little shopping at Lenox mall. Go home chill with my kids & drink some coffee or Tea. Dinner we’d do little alley or The select then go hang out at Copper Cove or Rosebar! For a night of fun! This of course may not be all in one day but then it may lol Over weeks time we’d have fun & definitely workout more than once

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First I want to thank my Mother she was my idol & ultimately the sole provider. She taught me how to be a strong independent woman. If it weren’t for our struggles I wouldn’t have the work ethic I have. I want to thank my mentor Michael Norwood & my children for continuing to motivate me daily to keep going.
