Jahqwale, always such a pleasure connecting with you and thank you for sharing your stories, insights and inspiring messages with our community. We’re looking forward to getting the download and what you have been up to since our last interview, but first can you briefly introduce yourself to folks who might have missed the prior conversation.
My name is Jahqwale, Founder of JahqsLocs. I am a travel loctician and Braider serving the metro Atlanta area. My passion is to serve others and to take care of their crown by providing quality service and showing Love to others while servicing my clients. Ive always had a natural talent of being creative through my hands mainly through the avenue of hair styling, I also now make sure I am showing the Love of christ as I work because this wouldn’t be possible without His hand on my life.

Awesome, so we reached out because we wanted to hear all about what you have been up to since we last connected.
These past two years have been a journey of a lot of tears and set backs (so I thought). Believing I was making good choices in the moment I moved prematurely in some decisions regarding connecting my business with others but I now recognize the importance of wise counsel and Faith through this journey of Entrepreneurship. I have grown in many way of Following the leading of Holy Spirit in my decision making and also submitting my ambitions to God.
Ive learned that all connections are not wise connections no matter the title or position a person may possess. I had to do a heart check as to why I was allowing myself to pursue certain opportunities. In this journey of Following and pursuing my career In the hair industry I make it my mission to uplift and encourage others, rather then having the natural atmosphere of Gossip and slander that I tend to encounter a lot in this industry. Ive grown so much in my Faith journey of knowing that if God has called me to do a thing He will provide and Ive realize that God will never fail me even if His provision of HOW he helps me doesn’t look the way I thought it would.

We also want to give folks a chance to get to know you a bit better so we’ve prepared a fun lightning round of questions. Ready?

Life is often about tough choices – can you talk to us about your thought process, strategy or philosophy when it comes to making difficult choices or tradeoffs.
Ive recently had to make many tough choices, from ending relationships to moving to a new state, just for God to send me back to Atlanta because my move was out of pride. What Ive come to realize is you have to have confidence and assurance of who you are and who God called you to be. Ive learned that a mistake is not the end. A closed door is not the end. In life we won’t always get things right and that is okay. It is imperative that we do not compare our lives to others because everyone’s timeline is different.
Im learning to not be anxious about tomorrow. Sometimes I struggle with the anxiety part but then I have to remind myself of Gods sovereignty and believing that He actually loves me and is guiding my steps. That reminder has been keeping me during this difficult season of waiting, character development, learning & maturing when I don’t know what to do, I simply just wait and Ive learned to never make decisions out of desperation or emotions.
