We had the good fortune of connecting with Jacqueline Kaba-Harrison and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jacqueline, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I was born and raised in Detroit, MI. As a young girl I was daddy’s little girl. I always wanted to make him proud. My father played a huge role in who I am today. He would often tell me that I would have to work 2-3x harder then everyone else to achieve the same goal. So well into adulthood I carried many limiting beliefs about myself. I lacked confidence and self-confidence. I was able to create unshakable self-confidence and teach other women to do the same.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I created Realizing Your Potential LLC to empower & inspire African American Women everywhere to harness their power to empower themselves and others to manifest abundance in their lives.

I help women to create effective strategies to eliminate negative self-talk and self-sabotaging behaviors that prevent them from taking their business to the next level.

I provide a virtual platform for entrepreneurs to receive personal, professional and leadership development to help them scale their business. I am the Executive Channel Producer of the A Queen’s Round Table Channel on the Women Win Television Network. I am also the host of A Queen’s Round Table Leadership Symposium, TV Show and Podcast.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Places to go (Detroit, MI): Motown Museum; Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History; The HandleBar Detroit; Detroit Riverwalk; Baker’s Keyboard Lounge

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
