We had the good fortune of connecting with Ivy McAllister and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ivy, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I absolutely love helping people. I love coaching developing and mentoring. I realized I was comfortable in this position and people were receptive.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
TheIvyLeagueLyfe is a place that seeks to elevate your life through real loving honest coaching. What sets me apart is I am relatable, I can be your momma sister best friend fly auntie. I am who you go to when you can’t go to anyone else because they are tired of hearing you say the same thing. When your family doesn’t understand why you haven’t left that man, so you can’t keep telling them. I’ll listen and we will work it out. My challenges are exposure and content so that people know I’m here. I’ve learned social media is my best friend and referrals are priceless. I want the world to know that I am a teen mom who has a testimony of my own and just like I was surround by strength and love I want to surround them and assist them in reaching their full potential. TheIvyLeagueLyfe is a place of refuge when you have nowhere else to go. When you have no one to talk to or share your fears accomplishments and life’s desires.

What’s next for me is a Podcast sharing where I can talk to the city about things from fashion to finance. I still want to elevate my community.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We’d wake up early because I’m an early riser! First stop would be Atlanta Breakfast Club, or Breakfast at Barney’s ,then maybe walk down the belt line a few miles. We can prepare for lunch from Big Dave’s Cheesesteak, or Atlanta’s newest pick up wing spot TrapWingzAtl, where my brother Dion is serving fresh crispy seasoned wings and fries. A nice drive around the city and visit the historic hot spots and check out a few malls. Depending on the day we may go over to CooperCove with Mr.Ruggs and crew for an entertaining evening with some of Atlanta’s finest gentlemen. There is a place in Lenox mall we can schedule to take selfie’s with dope backgrounds that is super cool. This city is full of beautiful people and places. We can eat and be entertained at so many hotspots. I e names a few of my favorites. The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Wow, for so many years I have been surrounded by so many awesome loving women. First my mother I wouldn’t know hard work and sacrifice without her, my girlfriend Gretchen she has been my truth serum she holds my passion and pain. My girlfriend Shawntee she is my big sister she cusses me out and keeps me straight she is always ready for whatever. I can call her in the middle of the night to ride out and she’s ready. Then there is my sister Debra shes my spiritual sister I leaned on her for my spiritual guidance and love she has taught me so much about myself and my life. I go to her when something in the world is hurting me and we cry and laugh together.
