We had the good fortune of connecting with ihateROCKET and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi ihateROCKET, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I have always been a fan of music growing up, so when my football career came to an end; I decided that I needed another way to change my life & reach success.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I feel like my creativity sets me apart from others and I’m hard on myself the most because I know I can be great & I can’t hold on my self back onto stepping into my calling.

No it wasn’t easy I just had to be patient and trust the process because nothing happens overnight.

I want the world to know that you really have to appreciate the path that God puts you on because it could always be worse & its ok to be yourself even if that means people are gonna talk bad about you. People are gonna talk down on you no matter what you do. Just make sure you give them something to talk about.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
To get something to eat we can go anywhere we can go to JJ‘s, Fellini’s really any place that has good food. To hang out we could go to the VR bar the ice bar or my crib. Its more places but i just can’t think of them right now. The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to shout out anybody that believes in me and believes in what I can do. God knows it wasn’t always like this; Growing up people doubted me and bullied me because I wasn’t at the same level as them.
