We had the good fortune of connecting with Gerald Wallace and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gerald, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Growing up my mom and grandpa always bought me cologne lots of it and I just fell in love with smelling good and plus my mom and granny said people like a man that smells good, so that always stuck in my head. Getting in my 20s I started to shop around myself to see what can I do for myself and others to be happy and smelling good and looking good is the key. I started to get my own smell goods and started to doing my own mixing.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I have a couple of passion things one is I love helping people if I got the resources to help I definitely would especially in the LGBTQ community. Growing up as part of the LGBTQ community I had to find my way on who I was, and that wasn’t easy didn’t have a father and just had nothing but women around me and being talk about made fun of was just a lot but like I said my family definitely was there to keep me grounded. So in life I grew up and love the person who I was and today still loving me and now I just love helping the LGBTQ community on whatever I can meaning helping looking for places to stay, getting food, how to figure out how to get jobs. I also love making smell good in my spare time definitely my passion . I feel like people feel good when they looking good and especially smelling good. So now I’m working on my line called LADY MAE I. This name came from my granny her middle is name is Mae so I took the Mae out and made it LADY MAE I.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Lol lord they ain’t coming to see me cause I’m boring I like staying home and out the way lol but if I had to definitely going to all the malls lol showing them what we got here also the Georgia aquarium take them downtown show them all the spots that be on real housewives of Atlanta lol. I love chicken so all the good ole chicken spots like JJs Fish and Chicken, The Bando, Hattiemarie and some bbq spots too like Sonny’s is good and DBA BBQ is good and also love like arcade type of things go cart riding, ATV riding, do a little paint and sip.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Definitely SHOUT OUT to my TEAM which is my family mom, sister’s and grandparents. These people always encourage me know matter what I wanted to do in life they always cheer me on. My family was at every basketball game every track meet always cheering me on and this is why I am who I am today is because of the positivity the love the blessing the follow through with my family.
