Meet Gabe & Kianee Lawrence | Marriage, Parenting, and Lifestyle Content Creators

We had the good fortune of connecting with Gabe & Kianee Lawrence and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gabe & Kianee, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
We’ve always seemed to have a pretty packed life! Between work, church, traveling, or hanging out with friends/family, life just always seems to keep on going. As you could imagine with all of that on our plate, we were feeling pretty burnt out! We both come from creative backgrounds being that Kianee majored in musical theatre and Gabe is a self taught videographer as well as runs his own media production company. We always talked about how if we had a camera to follow us around and capture all of our funny moments, we wouldn’t need any other entertainment, plus Gabe needed something to get him out of a creative funk. So we decided to do it ourselves! Life Gives You Lawrence was a way for us to share our lives as young parents taking everyday life one moment at a time. We wanted to create a space that shared the realistic ins and outs of being young parents! We posted everyday for 30 days straight at first and saw some of our posts reach as high as 6M+ views! We were encouraged and that inspired us to keep pushing Life Gives You Lawrence to connect with other young married couples/parents.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Gabe works for an ad agency as a campaign manager where they run ads on the social platforms for big name brands (we’ll keep the names under wraps. Were dramatic). As funny as it is, Kiki graduated with a fine arts degree and is now killing the game working in finance! She helps clients at an investment firm achieve their goals! For the both of us, we fell into our careers through relationships that we had and that really falls at the center of our beliefs. Community is EVERYTHING, no one can do it alone and if we focus on building up one another we’ll all be taken care of! We are also believers of the process. You may be in a season of your life that you don’t necessarily feel is where you want to be or getting you where you want to be but everything is working together. So keep pushing and putting your best foot forward!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
This one is easy! So much so that we got our first place specifically because of it. THE BATTERY! We love being able to tailgate the Braves, hit up Anticos (also our first date), get Jenni’s ice cream for dessert, and go dancing at El Super Pan! It’s really a place that has grown with us from that first date to having our baby boy. For us, The Battery has been a place for us to get away from the everyday mundane life. The open concept and draw of the crowd makes us feel like we are getting away on vacation! Fun fact the weekend that we got engaged we took friends and family there every night for 3 days! We are looking forward to all the memories we’ll make there in the future.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Really our friends and family! They are the ones who support us most and cheer us on. A good friend of ours, Tiara, is also a content creator and she is always giving us tips and tricks to help us grow our page! Our Mom/Mother In Laws are always sharing our reels (we think it’s because of their grandson haha). Most importantly, we want give God the recognition for everything that we do. All of our creativity and success comes from him and we believe that we are our best when he’s the focus. Having a faith that commits everything to him is a faith that will raise up the best version of ourselves!
