We had the good fortune of connecting with Elizabeth Stampfli and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Elizabeth, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
When I think of this question, there are many different habits that helped me succeed. One of those being determination. When I enjoy what I am doing and I have a great passion for it, I become very determined to make it the best that I can. Having determination has pushed me to learn more, to become a better photographer, to continue to grow and do different things that will help my business grow. Seeing the happiness that I have brought my couples has given me a lot more determination to get my name out there and to book more couples, so that I can provide the same happiness to as many couples as I possibly can.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a wedding and portrait photographer. I love capturing different moments in my couples lives. From proposals, to engagement sessions to their wedding day! I am known for providing a fun and exciting environment during my sessions and on your  wedding day. I make my couples feel confident and relaxed in front of the camera by giving them prompts during their session. Instead of telling my couples to stand and smile, I give them prompts such as, “whisper their favorite fruit in their sexiest voice” into each other’s ear. Providing prompts creates pure and genuine smiles where one can feel the love and emotion just by looking at the picture. I believe this also helps me stand out from other photographers because I allow them to cut loose and have fun during their session! The journey of opening my own business and building my portfolio and booking clients was not always easy. I faced different challenges along the road, such as not feeling good enough, feeling like no one will want to work with me, or like my work. Through those rough patches I pushed through and put my name out there as much as I could and posted all of my work everyday and tried my hardest to not stop believing in myself. Through that came success and so many couples that believed in me to capture their love. When the world thinks of Stampfli Photography, I want them to think this is a company who will capture memories that last a lifetime and will always do it with a smile, and will always create a fun and comfortable environment!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well, for starters, there are so many fun things to do in the Atlanta Area. We would start with brunch in the city and then to Piedmont Park for a bike ride around the park and then to lunch at The Varsity. Afterwards, we would go to Ponce City Market to partake in their nighttime festivities. The next day we would spend the whole day at Six Flags enjoying endless thrill rides. We would also visit the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, The Coca Cola Factory, The Atlanta Zoo, and The Georgia Aquarium. We might even enjoy an Atlanta Braves game from the Battery at Truist Park. It will be a week full of all things Atlanta!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Amy and Jordan Demos deserve a huge shoutout. I would have never started my business if it wasn’t for their online course that taught me so much of what I know, everything from composition to learning how to fully use my camera.  I also want to give a shoutout to all of the photography friends I have made along the way that have pushed me to grow, learn and try new things.
