We had the good fortune of connecting with Elijah Johnson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Elijah, why did you pursue a creative career?
I always had the love for creating and painting since I was a kid. Growing up you always hear that becoming an artist wouldn’t pay the bills. I graduated from college with an marketing degree. It was all good until the pandemic struck and I had no choice but to fall back on what I love to do the most and thats design. From their the rest is history and I couldn’t be more proud of myself for what I have accomplished in such a short time and to only know that more is to come as I continue to grow my business successfully.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Having a graphic Design studio has always been one of my dreams but finally seeing it coming to reality has been mind blowing. Designing has always been my passion and always my stress reliever throughout the tough times in my life. From painting and designing unique logos and flyers, It has always been a way for me to clear my mind. turning my passion and love into a business has been very hard and I have multiple ups and downs. Getting over those obstacles has been a journey of its own but one thing that have kept me focus are my family and friends believing in me and seeing the greatness of my talent even when I doubted myself. Another thing that helped me through these tough times was the smile on clients faces once they received their projects. From flyers to logos and cover art, the joy of being able to help others bring their dream to reality is great. Since childhood I would be lying if I told you I made it here all by myself. We all need help in certain areas and it shouldn’t be frowned upon on if we do need help. Im just glad I have a talent that I can use to help give back in multiple ways and thats what I plan on continuing to do with my business.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my Family, Friends and my late mentor Richard L. Jones who always believed in me before I even seen it in myself and one of the reasons why I have a Business today. Rest in Peace!
