Hi Ebone’ “Naye Songz”, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Start Strong, Stay Strong, Finish Strong. For some people starting is the hardest part of the journey but for me it is the staying strong part of the journey that is the hardest. Sometimes you endure so many test and obstacles in the middle of your journey that it makes you want to just give up. I’ve learned that you are tested the most in the middle of your journey because that’s were the growing pains occur and often times your heart and mindset changes. The growing pains are very uncomfortable but that’s what pushes you to think bigger and be stronger. 

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Sizzle Season is an iconic fashion brand that brings new flavor to your winning season. We provide you with cutting edge apparel and accessories. It doesn’t matter your style, size, status, or gender here at Sizzle Season we believe that everyone has a winning season. My wife and I started Sizzle Season in the middle of the pandemic. YES! I said pandemic! LOL! The pandemic has been hard for many people and we wanted to get a message out to everybody in the world that no matter where they are on their journey, it can still be there sizzle season. This pandemic has tested us in many ways and some people have given up, but I am here to tell you that you can’t let it win. I am excited about Sizzle Season growing and becoming a household brand. The message behind Sizzle Season is the formula that will sell the brand and not to mention, it was created by two African-American women! Pretty soon instead of people buying brands like Gucci and Dior, they will be purchasing Sizzle Season.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Wow! That is such an interesting question! Are we talking life before or after covid? LOL! I would have to definitely take them to Ponce City Market. That is probably one of my favorite spots in the city, it has a really nice view and it is the perfect hangout spot. Ration and Dram would also be a great place to go and get drinks. We definitely would have had to hit For Members Only and the gathering spot.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my wife (Serenity), my mom (Elise), my dad (Byron Sr.), and my oldest brother (Byron Jr.) As a kid, I have always had dreams of becoming successful in the Entertainment(Music and TV/Film) and Fashion Industry. I use to tell my older brother that I was going to work with all the major celebrities in the industry. No matter how big my dream was he never shot it down, he would just listen. My mom has always wanted to be supportive but she never could understand what exactly I wanted to do in the Television and Film industry but my dad was the complete opposite. It didn’t matter if I wanted to be a music mogul, television and film producer, or just a local music artist. My dad told me that no matter how big dreams are or what my sexuality is, he is going to support me no matter what. My dad told me that when I was 15 years old and my confidence level has been through the roof since! My wife and I started dating 6 years ago and it has truly been an interesting journey. She has stayed up all night listening to me talk about ideas. She has been like my partner in crime when it comes to business. She never makes me feel like my ideas are too big. We push each other to harder in our creative journeys and that’s one thing I enjoy the most about our relationship. You know, sometimes it can be extremely hard trying to date someone who is a creative individual but for my wife she handles it with such ease and it inspires her to dig in creative bag too!
