We had the good fortune of connecting with Dwayne Curry and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dwayne, what inspires you?
I’m inspired by certain situations in my life A big one for me is my dad he was all American linebacker college football player at Mississippi state set to be a high draft pick but unfortunately he was injured the last game of the season breaking his hip this was a big impact on me growing up witnessing his pain from the incident and everyone telling this story when I was little this made me feel like I had to make up for that since I was little but football was never my favorite sport but I knew I had to avenge this and make him happy being his son. I was required to step out be differentiate myself from my peers growing up always had a strong mind there was always a creative part of me that I felt like needed to be seen but feeling left out growing up pushed me to show that part but as far as individuals that inspired me I would say is youtuber Allylaw , youtuber Mysticgotjokes and lastly youtuber Deshae frost

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart is my creativity wanting my channel to stand out from others by using art various eye candy logos and a mascot to actually make my channel come alive which I call him the Shlidemann The Shlidemann is not me but is a representation of young black men having fun entertaining and living out their dreams , I got here today by always going with my intuition and following my creative visions in my head and making those ideas appear in real life. Also I would say being consistent discipline and believing my self .My journey to where I am happened pretty quick and was not that easy there was challenge’s like staying out of trouble moving smart but that comes with discipline and being smart my channel blew up overnight I was famous in high school my channel blew up last month in high school with my Wave check video reaching over 100k views opening eyes and leading the way inspiring others for a new route besides sports and college by being a social media influencer. With only 85 videos out I already had a following of 100k subscriber’s on my channel. The lessons I’ve learned on the way is certain don’t really care for you but care for what you have which kind of had a negative impact as far as relationships also another one is being consistent not just doing things for attention but instead you want want people to fall in love with you as a person. What I want people to know about my story I was just a young kid with a one of a kind personality that didn’t really have a game plan or any other options with a small group of friends that where overlooked that had a dream and a vision that needed to be seen and I did jus that and still has a long way to go want that wants others to follow their dreams and prosper

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take them to Waffle house to eat also my favorite restaurant based out of Atlanta in Mr. everything, you can never go wrong with SixFlags for thrill and excitement go downtown take in the scenery go to a Hawks game for more fun enjoy the scenery on Edgewood with many restaurants bars and jus good vibes all around

i would love to shoutout TheJamalSeries , Jamal Bradley (youtuber) for helping me get to where i am in the social media world one of the funniest humans I’ve ever met also the smartest, seeing him put his own life circumstances on the line for my dreams and asperations is just stunning to me he deserves all the blessings that comes his way he also stopped me from overthinking situations help gameplan and motivate me on my journey and will forever be apart of my success of Shlidetv
