We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Ashley Carver, Lcsw and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dr. Ashley, as a parent, what have you done for you children that you feel has had the most significant impact?
As a mother of three, my children are the center of my world. I deeply desire to raise them to be kind, respectful individuals who understand the importance of being good people. I believe the greatest impact I’ve had on them is my display of love and affection I consistently show. It’s essential to me that they feel deeply loved and secure at home, knowing that it’s a place of comfort and safety no matter what challenges they face outside. The world can be harsh, and filled with judgment that can leave lasting scars. But I want them to always know that home is synonymous with love—mommy is love, daddy is love, and together we are safe. Love better yet, unconditional love is the most powerful gift I can give them, and it’s the legacy I hope to pass on.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’m most proud of the impact I’ve been able to make through my work and the positive influence I’ve had on others, be it big or small, particularly my children. It’s incredibly rewarding to see the values I hold dear—kindness, respect, love and laughter—reflected in them. This is what excites me the most, knowing that I’m contributing to a better world, starting with my own family.

Getting to where I am today in business has been anything but easy. It took a great deal of determination, resilience, and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances; and I am still navigating this path. I faced numerous challenges along the way, from balancing family life with career aspirations to handling the complexities of the business world. But I’ve always believed in the importance of persistence and learning from every obstacle. Each challenge became a lesson, teaching me to stay focused on my goals, remaining patient, and never lose sight of my purpose.

One of the key lessons I’ve learned is the importance of surrounding yourself with supportive people who believe in you. My journey has been greatly influenced by the love and encouragement of my family, friends, and colleagues who showed me the power of perseverance and hard work.

What I want the world to know about me and my brand is that it’s built on a foundation of integrity, empathy, and a deep commitment to making a difference. My story is one of passion, driven by a desire to uplift others and create positive change in the world. Whether through my business or my role as a mother, I strive to lead with compassion and to inspire others to do the same.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were visiting, I’d make sure we had the most epic week ever, filled with laughter, great food, and unique experiences! I’m all about enjoying life and not taking things too seriously, so our itinerary would reflect that fun-loving spirit.

Day 1: Arrival & Relaxation
We’d kick things off with a stay at a luxurious hotel in the heart of the city—somewhere with an incredible spa, like The Whitley in Buckhead. After checking in, we’d unwind with some pampering spa treatments to start the trip on a relaxing note.

Day 2: Art & Fine Dining
We’d begin the day with a visit to the High Museum of Art, where we could take in some stunning exhibits. For lunch, we’d hit Chattahoochee Food Works—an iconic food hall where you can find just about anything to satisfy your cravings. In the evening, we’d dress up for dinner at Atlas, a Michelin-starred restaurant with a gorgeous, art-filled dining room. After dinner, we’d stop by The Garden Room for cocktails, soaking in its whimsical and enchanting vibe.

Day 3: Playful Adventures
This day would be all about play! We’d visit Your 3rd Spot, a boutique bowling alley with a curated selection of games perfect for unleashing our inner kids. We’d keep the fun going with a visit to Skyline Park at Ponce City Market, where we could play mini-golf, try out carnival games, and enjoy breathtaking views of the city.

Day 4: Foodie Exploration
We’d spend this day hopping between some of Atlanta’s best food halls. We’d start at Krog Street Market, enjoying local bites. From there, we’d head to Ponce City Market (because once is never enough) to explore more eateries, shops, and rooftop attractions.

Day 5: Art & Lounge
After a leisurely morning, we’d visit a local art gallery—maybe MODA (Museum of Design Atlanta) or a city tour of street art . We’d then check out a few local lounges in the evening. Jojo’s Beloved is a must for its quirky atmosphere, ensuring a night unforgettable moments.

Day 6: Spa & Shopping
We’d spend this day recharging with a return to the spa for more treatments and perhaps a relaxing dip in the pool. Afterward, we’d hit the shops in Buckhead or explore some unique boutiques in Inman Park, ending the day with dinner at Houston’s with great food, service and atmosphere.

Day 7: Farewell Brunch & Park Stroll
On the final day, we’d have a leisurely brunch at The Breakfast At Barney’s—a local favorite for Southern comfort food. Before heading to the airport for her departure, we’d take a stroll through Piedmont Park or the Atlanta Botanical Garden to soak in some nature and reflect on an amazing week.

This itinerary is a mix of indulgence, culture, playfulness, and relaxation—perfect for creating unforgettable memories with my best friend. Life’s too short to take too seriously, so we’d make the most of every moment

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Any chance I get, I dedicate my success to my mother—my real-life mentor and shero. As a little girl, I always knew I wanted to be like her, and as an adult, I continue to strive to follow in her footsteps. Just like the proverbial apple that doesn’t fall far from the tree, I remain close to my roots, cultivating a deep passion for social work, education, and service. I am the proud daughter of a retired social worker and academic administrator. My mother’s high expectations for me to achieve good grades and graduate from college were easily attainable because she led by example. She embodies the true essence of love, giving, care, and comfort. Following in her footsteps brings me immense joy.

I’ve known my role model my entire life; it was never a celebrity or someone on television. Her motherly love goes beyond words, and it’s something I aspire to emulate in my own role as a mother and social worker. Even as an adult, her love is still home for me, and it feels good.
