We had the good fortune of connecting with Dominique Shepherd and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dominique, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Well I’ve always been the creative type so acting really gave me a way to express that and really be myself in the process.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m most excited for the future. I know that once I get the right opportunity I’m going to blow everyone’s minds. Getting where I am today has been extremely difficult. There were so many obstacles I had to go through and I’m no where close to where I want to be yet. I just kept working despite everything that was going on. I never let it discourage me. I learned so many lessons along the way that I could go on and on but one thing I hold on to is to always be confident. I want the world to know that I’m going to always do my best and put my best foot forward. I want to be the best.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’d definitely take them to the botanical gardens. I love the art. Also Big Dave’s PhillyCheeseSteaks is one of my favorite hole in the wall spots. Stone Mountain is awesome to hike as well.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My mom, my close friends, my teachers, and the big time actors I’ve worked with and learned from.
