Meet Dolo_efmg | Chief Officer of Operations, DP, Executive Producer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Dolo_efmg and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi DOLO_EFMG, career-wise, where do you want to be in the end?
The end goal for me is to know everyone I lended a helping hand or a piece of advice to is doing well within their perspective fields. For me to know our business is one of the biggest independent music labels in the game and we took no shortcuts or alternative routes which were unnecessary to get to the end goal. I want to reach a place where I know all the work which was put in was well worth the toil because of the fruits I will be able to enjoy once the toiling is done. (Even though it’s never really done.)

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As the time goes along I start to see how my work throughout EFMG and the community is an uplift. We strive to make timeless records and experiences with our efforts and I think the nature in which we accomplish that is. what sets us apart from others. Having just celebrated ten years professionally crafting and molding a record company is something not easy to do by any means, but I believe with the lives we’ve touch and community outreach we have there is certainly more work to do. There has been many times when we have felt should we hang up the dream just given the climate of the industry at the moment, nevertheless this is not our mission to quit so we have no choice but to see it through the end. Our fallen brother started this company and he entrusted it to us to make it as big as it can be, therefore we will continue to carry on.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I had someone in town for a week it wouldn’t be long enough to show them everything I wanted to show them. First we would have to stop by New Music Mondays to check out some hot new talent in the city, Tuesday we would have to pull up on my guy DJ DesignerKidd to hear some music and have some drinks. Wednesday we would have to go to Vegan Me Please to have some of the best fried oyster mushrooms you ever had. Thursday our next stop would be Nut Cafe to get some burgers and some of the best vegan cake you ever had in your life. Friday we are catching a vibe at The Atrium to a comedy show, and the weekend we can visit a couple of good nature trails to rest and reset before its time to head back out from Hartsfield Jackson .

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My biggest support system has always been my family. They keep me grounded and make sure I don’t get too ahead of myself when things seem like they are moving too fast. Any time I need to go back and reset I know my family will always be there for me as a retreat. They have empowered us along the way and helped us see through the struggles of wanting to be apart of one of the toughest industries out there.
