Hi Dipal, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
When I founded Cheese and Crumbles in 2023, it was a decision rooted in passion, resilience, and a love for bringing people together. After over 13 years in HR, I was unexpectedly laid off from my dream job in early 2023 due to the industry-wide tech layoffs. It was a turning point—a moment to redefine my next steps. While seeking new opportunities, I chose to channel my passion into something meaningful: food.
My husband, my greatest supporter, encouraged me to explore my love for crafting and decorating charcuterie boards—a blend of creativity, taste, and presentation that has always brought me joy. Although I didn’t initially know how to navigate the business side, through research, connecting with mentors, and sheer determination, I learned the ropes and began this exciting journey.
Networking, meeting new people, and constantly expanding my creativity have become my driving forces. Whenever self-doubt arises, I remind myself of a simple yet powerful truth: every step is either a success or a learning opportunity. There’s no “perfect” time to start; if you have the passion, take the leap, and the pieces will fall into place. Over the years, I’ve realized that the real magic happens around a table, where food transforms gatherings into moments of joy, connection, and lasting memories.

What should our readers know about your business?
At Cheese and Crumbles, my mission is to help you elevate your hosting and create events that your guests will talk about long after the last bite. I’ve always believed that food should be an experience—one that connects people, sparks joy, and adds something truly special to any gathering. That’s why I pour my heart and creativity into every grazing table and charcuterie board, curating spreads that are not only delicious but also works of art that bring people together.
The journey of building Cheese and Crumbles hasn’t always been smooth. I started this business in 2023 with a dream to turn my love for food and entertainment into something that would help others create unforgettable moments. There were challenges—learning the ropes of running a business, finding my place in a competitive market, and making sure every client’s experience was exceptional. But through resilience, adaptability, and an unwavering commitment to creativity, I overcame those obstacles.
I’ve learned that the key to success lies in truly understanding what my clients need—helping them not only host an event but craft a memory. I love getting to know my clients’ vision for their events and then working with them to bring that vision to life. With my background in HR and Talent Acquisition, networking and connecting with people on a personal level comes naturally to me, and that has been instrumental in helping me grow and carve out my space in this competitive industry.
I’m most proud when I see the look on my clients’ faces as they watch their vision come to life. At Cheese and Crumbles, it’s not just about laying out cheese and crackers; it’s about helping you become the kind of host whose gatherings are unforgettable, whose events are the highlight of everyone’s week. My goal is to bring a touch of magic, elegance, and genuine warmth to every occasion, and I hope to share that passion with every grazing table I create.

Starting my own business was a dream fueled by passion and creativity, but it truly came to life because of the incredible people around me. My husband has always been my biggest cheerleader and, at times, my toughest critic—the true backbone behind everything I do. When I feel uncertain, he’s the one I turn to for honest advice and unwavering support.

My kids have been my silent heroes, understanding my dream even when it means I can’t always be there for their games or events. Their love and patience mean the world to me, and they inspire me to keep pushing forward.

I’m also blessed with an amazing, close-knit group of friends who’ve been there for me from the very beginning. They cheered me on when I first started, and they continue to encourage me as I build and grow my brand.

To my husband, my children, and my incredible friends—you are the heart of my journey. I wouldn’t be where I am today without your support. You are all such a huge part of my confidence, my success, and every exciting endeavor yet to come. Thank you for believing in me when I needed it the most.
