We had the good fortune of connecting with Dimension Boiz and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dimension, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
We started out with Roy and BankaiBlack freestyling together at parties and get togethers. At some point we wanted to reach for our collective dream of making music and started writing together. Needing a producer, Exferno, offered his help and we soon found ourselves making bedroom rap.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
We are new to the music scene and have worked hard through trial and error to progress our musical talents and start releasing tracks. Even getting to the point of releasing music has been wrought with failed attempts and lessons learned. However, we are now more confident in the rap inspired music we are creating and releasing. Advisement from friends and fellow artists has helped a lot in our endeavors to better ourselves. We have learned that dreams of creating music and actually creating it are two separate things, however, through hard work and self education, we have persevered. As cliché as it sounds, we want the world to know that if you have a passion for music and creating, that anyone can achieve it through hard work and dedication. Even if we never receive thousands of streams, the act of creating is personally cathartic and fulfilling.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Morning: Getting a delicious breakfast at our only breakfast diner, Landmark or one of the several Waffle Houses, followed by some piping hot coffee from Lumina or Swift&Finch.
Afternoon: Work off our breakfast by hiking and exploring Berry College aka the world’s largest college campus
Evening: Having a get together with the guys, playing video games, listening to music, freestyling, watching anime, and pre-gaming for a night on scenic Broad St. bar hopping and enjoying nightlife. Shoutout to the best bar in Rome, GA, The Foundry Growler Bar.
Late Night: Taking an Uber back, freestyling more and eventually passing out. Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Thanks to our family and friends in our hometown of Rome, GA for supporting us, as well as, “Nix The Scientist” for providing us this opportunity along with advice in our musical endeavors. Our personal musical inspiration is Brockhampton who showed us that people from different walks of life can come together and make incredible music.
