Meet Diamante Torres | Sugar Scrub Queen

We had the good fortune of connecting with Diamante Torres and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Diamante, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?

My thought process behind starting my business was to get away from toxic work environments. I created a safe and happy workplace for myself and others. It’s important to feel appreciated while on the clock. I believe having a business is showcasing your heart desires. Believe in yourself, become you’r own role model! Having a business is being a voice, and the world can hear you by you’r actions and work.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?

I’m excited to see the joy people receive during sugar scrub workshops. I host private events for birthday parties, bridal showers, and more . I have a total of four workshops, body oil workshops, foot scrub workshops and epsom soaks workshops. Each class teaches you how to make at home spa products. My business helps the community by bonding with your kids, friends, and spouses. It gives individuals time to tap into their creativity, and to be inspired to use natural products that you have handy in your kitchen.

How to overcome challenges.

I overcome challenges by standing firm and putting God first. He puts the puzzle together. Examples of how I stand firm are trying new strategies and brainstorming with others. Brainstorming helps bring new ideas to your business that you might not thought of. You can overcome challenges by being organized! Get a calendar and write your accomplishments and to plan ahead of time. If an idea doesn’t work, don’t quit and say “This isn’t for me”. Find a solution for the disconnect. I’ve learned you can’t please everyone. At times we can be our worst critic. Your business doesn’t have to be perfect to start, learn from your mistakes. Stick to your business boundaries and morals. Take some time to write down who you’d like to collaborate with and who you wouldn’t want to collaborate with. It takes a village to support and keep your dream alive.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

Some fun places to check out are museums, hiking trails, and markets. It’s a great way to learn history. I love aesthetics that these tourists attractions have. I love small details.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?

I’d like to give recognition to Blaxstone Events and my business partner Brittney. I love Million Dollar Melissa she gives great business gems, and homework on how to dominate in your field.

A few others I’d like to give recognition to Jerry Flowers, Steve Harvey and much more. These sermons helped renew my mindset, and has given me motivation. I believe sermons assist you to restore your outlook on life and situations. Sermons taught me to do everything in love and to be kind.
