We had the good fortune of connecting with Devon Horace and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Devon, how does your business help the community?
My business goal is to help people understand personal finance and business more. There is a lot of material out there, some good, some questionable, and I want to help people filter out that material and get the most out of it where it meets their specific needs. Everyone is different. All plans and strategies aren’t cookie-cutter; one size fits all. It’s about taking what best suits you.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
The most important thing that sets Horace Consulting apart from most consulting firms is experience. What I share, teach, and advise is based on proven results and proof of work. Starting, it was not easy. It still isn’t easy. Technology advances in society are pushing the entrepreneur to think faster, wiser, and more border. When you think of rolling out a product, service, or investing in a company with products and services, the market competition is vast. Some many companies are doing the same thing. I overcome these challenges by investing in startups and companies with business models I understand and can add value to while also picking the right leadership to invest in. Some people invest in the person of the business due to their track record and hard work. Look at Elon Musk with Telsa. I tell people to invest in what you know and something that is in service of the people and making their life a bit easier to manage. When people think of Horace Consulting or me, I want people to know that it’s in service of the people and the material and solutions are for the betterment of their lives. Becoming better together.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Oh, very chill. I’m not too picky either. I’m more of a museum, a nice dinner, trail walk kind of guy. I find more joy in surrounding myself with like-minded people and looking back at accomplishments and the lessons we learned to get there.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shout out to all the personal finance groups that share information about taxes, saving, real estate, debt freedom, etc. The more information out there, the more knowledge the people can have to help themselves make better decisions.
