We had the good fortune of connecting with Destiny Battle and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Destiny, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, I was always surrounded by risk takers. Whether it was the clothes they chose to wear or their cultivating hairstyles. In Atlanta, you can count on risk takers stepping outside the box. Risk taking is a diving factor amongst people. Many people prefer to be careful and play by the rules. Then, there are risk takers who may think outside the box for problems, when seeking a solution. Risk taking has helped me elevate my view on many projects. Growing up, the average kid has a normal perspective on life and how society wants you to operate in the world. However, as you continue to grow you quickly see that being different or a risk taker can actually be a benefit. Personally, I think I have always lived on the risky side of life as a way to express myself. I have had opportunities where I chose to be a risk taker and my results were bad. Regardless of the results, I have gained more knowledge and insight from enduring the situation. Life has taught me, it’s not only about the end goal, but the journey you take to achieve it.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am most excited about spearheading the elevating of all of my projects. Having creative control has always been the goal. This year I was able to develop, create, and launch the website for The Lash Locker Room. This was a huge accomplishment because of my long term goal of web design. With digital networking and interpersonal development I was able to reach my magnitude of success. Of course, it was not easy to overcome but, my desire for a financially free life has always been the fuel to my fire. While on my journey, the most important lesson I learned is that there is opportunity in every obstacle. There is also value in your point of view, so point out the positive and keep moving. I created The Lash Locker Room in October of 2019, after months of procrastination and fear of being in the heavily saturated beauty industry. After reading Millionaire Success Habits by Dean Graziosi, I learned to hold myself solely accountable for goals and dreams. Ultimately learning nothing would change unless I desired to be the change I wanted to see thus evoking action in myself and rearranging my thought process on the products and services I offer. Yes, the beauty industry is heavily saturated, but The Lash Locker Room offers a luxury experience with the highest quality of products and services our clientele deserve.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I first would like to send a shoutout to God. Through grace and guidance, I am able to pursue dreams I could only image as a kid. Also friends and family, with your support I have grown to be the woman you see today. Thank you guys for all you do!
