We had the good fortune of connecting with Delecie Mccommons and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Delecie, how do you think about risk?
My opinion on risk. In order to make it in any business you can’t be afraid to take them. Sometimes that may be more than one risk at any particular point in life. I wouldn’t have made it to run 3 successful business without taking risks.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a licensed childcare provider for 16yrs. Started in my home and branch out to a center. Every year besides when covid hit. I have my daycare center a prom theme ball. We crown KING and Queen and much more. No other facility offer this type of engagement to families and my communities. I’m most excited of how I try and engage my families throughout the year with different events and the close bond I have with my parents.
Getting to where I am today took a lot of trail and error. Through my many trails taught me more than any training I’ve had. Being in business for myself has taught me to run my own race don’t try and be like no one else. Do what works for my business and myself.
After my run is over in this childcare industry. I want to be remembered as that individual who really cares about the well-being of my parents and children as one can’t go without the other.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My best friend and I has similar taste:
Early morning we would visit the J&J fleamarket. That would probably take several hours. Round about noon we would head on over and get something to eat at our newly opened juicy crab. After eating go on over to classic city nails and get pedi and mani done. Eyebrows shaped up.
Evening, now it’s time to shower and rest up before we head out for the night.
About 9pm after resting, we get dressed and head out for a night of dancing and fun at the VFW off sunset here in Athens.
Sunday morning we get ready and attend church together.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
