We had the good fortune of connecting with Danielle Tuwano and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Danielle, other than deciding to work for yourself, what was the single most important decision you made that contributed to your success?
The single most important decision I made that contributed to my success was giving myself the green light. I stopped braking for approval and accelerated my own ideas just as I would in other circumstances. Picture yourself at a red light. You’re first in line to lead a trail of vehicles behind you. You immediately begin to feel a sense of ‘first place’. You flatter yourself in the mirror, maybe snap a selfie, increase the volume to your favorite tune while you wait for the light to change. Suddenly it turns green and there’s an awkward silence. It’s all on you to either keep your foot on the brake or accelerate and lead the vehicles behind you. This is YOUR moment and depending how you respond will determine how quickly you’ll arrive at your destination. As a leader in creativity, you must understand the importance of giving yourself the green light. Consider the fact that some will trail you and some will switch lanes, but the objective is always to just GO! Go be the example for others. Go and stand up for what you believe in. Go and fulfill what your heart desires so that others will be inspired to do the same. Go and and live fearlessly!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
In addition to being an author, content writer, and filmmaker, I am also a level up coach. I specialize in identifying and developing my clients unique authority through personalized coaching and strategy sessions. I work very closely with my clients to help them identify their brand’s message, target audience, increase their confidence, and establish streams of income through one product or service. My services differ from others in many ways but to name one in particular it would be intentionality. I am extremely intentional with how I show up and assist my goalfriends in taking their life and business to the next level. I don’t just deem them as clients, I add them to my list of accountability partners. We all need partners in purpose. When one succeeds we all win and thrive collectively. I am where I am today because I personally place passion before profit. I don’t hoard my blessings or knowledge. I believe that the gift of receiving is through giving. Intentionally giving to those seeking your help or expertise is both fulfilling and pleasing in God’s sight. As with anything in life, nothing worth having comes easy. Leveling up has its challenges but the risk is worth the reward. As long as you persevere and stay committed, I believe you can achieve your goals. I want every boy, girl, man, or woman to know that we all have the same twenty four hours in a day. I encourage everyone to use that time wisely by equipping yourself with a wealth of knowledge. The mind can never be replaced with anything other than what it has been self taught.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The first place I would take my friends upon visiting the city would definitely have to be Rays on the River. Water is always a great place for peace and tranquility so we’ll head there for some wavy inspiration . After an afternoon of river vibes, we’ll head back to the city for some scenic views before checking out some cool art at Alan Avery Art Company. There we will enjoy impeccably beautiful art by well renowned artists. After a long day of deep serene and art, we’ll commence the evening with dinner at the Sundial and enjoy cocktails and conversations as we overlook the city of Atlanta.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First, I would like to shoutout my lord and savior for directing my paths. I’d like to shoutout Girls Inc. of Central Alabama for allowing me the opportunity to continuously encourage them and girls across the globe to be strong, smart, and bold. I would also like to shoutout my family for being the driving force behind my ability to give myself the green light as a loving wife, mother, daughter, and sister. Last but not least, I would like to shoutout my debut book Lights, Camera, #LevelUp for touching the lives and hearts of so many through its inspirational content.
