We had the good fortune of connecting with Daniel Asiamah and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Daniel, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
The artistic/creative career I chose came as a surprise to me as well because it was inspired by a friend of mine. Hearing his music and how people around us and even certain individuals around the world could relate and also have a love for the music he created and would learn the lyrics and everything was just fascinating to me. To the point where I wanted to know how it felt like to have people around the world relating to my stories through my music and also see the excitement on their faces when they send me videos singing and vibing to my songs.

In addition, music has become a source of inspiration to me when I was at my lowest (health issues). That moment inspired me to communicate my feelings through music. A way to let people know that even at your lowest music brings out the best in you. When I was at the hospital, I used to sing and other patients were thrilled. so to me, music is like food to the soul. And rekindles every dim light in me. It’s a way of giving back to people ( old, young, sick, strong ) a way to put smiles on someone’s face.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart from others is my work ethic, I’m passionate about my work, and how I can easily come up with ideas and music in a couple of minutes. I’m most excited for the future of my career as I have high hopes for myself and I’m proud of how far I’ve come and seen me grow each day as an artist.

I got to where I am today professionally through being consistent. consistency is key and I realized that through my social media. as I noticed the gains every time I posted and saw the interactions expand every time and just knowing what your audience loves to hear or see and just keep feeding them with it always.

it isn’t/ easy being creative at all especially when you are first starting out and not seeing enough numbers/views. which might cause some people to give up but you have to understand that nothing will be easy when you’re starting out but with patience and consistency and also believing in yourself. you will eventually see the changes you want through the years.

the lesson I’ve learned along the way is that nothing will be smooth. you might fall short after a while but that doesn’t mean to give up. a quote I always tell myself and have it printed is “Giving up is not an option. I will go the extra mile to achieve my goal”. and also never get too comfortable.

I want the world to know that I’m coming and I will take over and the world will sooner or later hear of my name and my crafts.
I put a lot of effort and time into my craft and I believe the world just has to listen to my music and will know how serious and dedicated I am to my craft.

about a year ago, I lost one of my brothers/close friends after I had released my EP, ” Sauced UP” ep which I always talked about with him. I did not really have the strength to promote the ep as I wanted because his demise affected me really badly to the point where I had posted to my Snapchat that I was quitting music. But after several thoughts, I wanted to make him proud and write a song which would remind me to keep going always regardless of any difficult situation ( Who Jah Bless)
